We believe in the Holy Bible, which is composed of only the original sixty-six books of holy scripture, is the Word of God, fully inspired and is without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
(II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:19-21)
We believe that there is only one God, eternally existing in three persons. God created the universe out of his own sovereign will. He did not create an evolutionary system, but took great care to individually create each aspect of our universe, from the stars and planets, to every plant, tree, animal, and especially each individual human being.
(Father: John 10:30)
(Son: Hebrews 1:8)
(Spirit: Acts 5:3-4)
(Trinity: Matthew: 3:16-17)
(Oneness: Deuteronomy 6:4)
We believe in “God-the-Father”, an infinite personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe that He hears and answers prayers, that He concerns himself mercifully in the affairs of men, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
(John 16:23-28, 17:5, Ephesians 1:3-14)
We believe in “God-the-Son”, Jesus Christ, the only begotten son, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teachings. We believe in His atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, and His impending personal and visible return to earth. We believe Jesus existed as both a historical person as well as “God Incarnate”, and that Jesus Christ was both fully human as well as fully divine. We believe Jesus’ blood is the only means unto salvation, and only through acceptance of his atoning death on the cross can we be saved from eternal damnation in Hell.
(John 1: 1,14, Philippians 2:5-11, Colossians 1:13-23, I Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 9:15)
We believe in “God-the-Holy Spirit”, who came from the Father to convict the world of sin, as well as to restore and empower those who come to believe in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is the great helper, teacher, and guide for every human being.
(John 14:26, 16:7-13, Romans 8:16)
We believe that every person is a sinner (by human nature and by personal choice), and therefore has need to be saved from the penalty of that willful disobedience. We believe that those who repent of their sins and ask Jesus to restore them to right-standing with God, will be made righteous, and thus be forever saved from Hell, as well as enjoy the promise to all the faithful of going to heaven upon their death. We also believe that those thus restored have need for no other mediator than Jesus Christ, and can come directly to God through Him with their prayers and requests.
(Romans 3:23-24, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5, I Peter 3:18)
We believe in the “Universal Church”, a global spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all restored persons are members. We also believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, who associate together for the purpose of worship, work, and fellowship. We also believe that God has laid upon the local church the primary task of taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world.
(Matthew 28:16-20, I Corinthians 12:27, Colossians 1:18, Hebrews 10:24-25)
We believe that there are only two ordinances given to the local church by Jesus Christ: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. The Lord’s Supper was instituted to serve as a reminder that Jesus' life was given as a ransom for us through His broken body and spilt blood. Baptism is the total immersion of a believer into water, symbolizing their conversion and their sins having been washed away.
(Matthew 3:13-17, 26:26-29, 28:19-20, I Corinthians 11:20-34)
